Residents from the tiny town of Walpole on Western Australia's south coast have vowed to fight a move to bulldoze the town's first buildings built by original settlers almost a century ago.

WALPOLE – An 89-acre park in Walpole is getting ready to celebrate its 100th birthday. To mark the occasion, Francis William Bird Park has been given a makeover for community members to enjoy.

Downtown Walpole recently announced its slate of holiday events starting with the Walpole Santa Parade that will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 27 starting at Walpole High School and making its way downtown.
