Nirvana Day, a festival celebrated on Feb. 8 and 15 by Buddhists, Hindus and Jains, commemorates the attainment of enlightenment by the Buddha on his death at age 80.

Nirvana also suggests becoming the master of one’s mind and not being its slave. Freedom from the slavery of senses is also liberation. And most importantly, nirvana suggests us not ask for joy.
