DETROIT. (WILX) - It’s Opening Day at Comerica Park in Detroit, where the Tigers are getting ready to take on the White Sox for Detroit’s Opening Day. Jack Flaherty will get the start for Detroit, and Jonathan Cannon will get the start for Chicago.

The Opening Day 2025 match between the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park will mark the beginning of a three-match series between the two sides. The series will continue through the weekend,

DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers have revealed their starting lineup for Opening Day at Comerica Park. The Tigers already started the regular season out West and played three games each against the Dodgers and Mariners. But it’s always a special day when baseball officially returns to Downtown Detroit, even when it’s Game 7.

The Home Plate Club will open in 2025, featuring 350 high-end seats, complete with heating and cooling and all-inclusive food and beverage options.

The Tigers are celebrating the 25th anniversary this season ― even though it's technically the 26th season of baseball at Comerica Park. The opener for the anniversary season is Friday against the Chicago White Sox at 1:10 p.m.
