DALLAS - Two people are dead and a firefighter is recovering after crews battled an early Monday morning house fire in northeast Dallas, officials said. Dallas Fire-Rescue said firefighters were called to a one-story home on Boedeker Street before 6 a.

One person was pulled out of the house and suffered smoke inhalation, but declined being taken to a hospital, an Arlington Fire representative said. Another victim was found dead, the cause of death was not released. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Redford firefighters were called at about 11 p.m. to the 19100 block of Wakenden Street near Seven Mile Road and Grand River Avenue to respond to a report of a home ablaze, Fire Chief Scott Demoff said Friday.
