The original Dexter series from 2006, which was based off the book franchise written by Jeff Lindsay, chronicled the life of Dexter Morgan, a vigilante serial killer who preys on murderers who have escaped justice. Dexter: Resurrection will be set in the present day and follow up 2021's Dexter: New Blood.

Eric Stonestreet, best known for his role as Cameron Tucker on the hit sitcom "Modern Family," will guest star in the latest sequel series in the "Dexter" franchise.
