Regional gas prices fell last week and reached an average of $2.87 per gallon of regular fuel on Monday, down from last week's price of $2.94 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

(Gray News) – Gas prices in the United States are, on average, the lowest they have been since May 2021. According to a report from GasBuddy, the nation’s average price was $3.03 per gallon as of Monday. That’s a 2.2-cent decrease compared to the previous week and the cheapest national average since May 2021.

Minnesota is one of 28 states under $3 per gallon, said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, which tracks fuel prices.
