Galatasaray have signed midfielder Mario Lemina from Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers for 2.5 million euros ($2.60 million), the two clubs said on Wednesday.

Galatasaray say they have opened negotiations with Wolves and Mario Lemina over a potential transfer for the Gabon midfielder.

Galatasaray has signed Mario Lemina, a midfielder from Wolverhampton Wanderers, for 2.5 million euros. Lemina, who fell out with Wolves' manager, joins the Turkish team with a contract extending to 2025.

Lemina moves to the Turkish giants for a fee of £2m. The midfielder, who was axed as Wolves captain earlier this season, has signed a one-and-a-half year contract worth £48,000-a week, with the option of a further year. Lemina returns to Gala having had a loan spell with the Turkish giants while a Southampton player.

The Super Lig leaders are said to have agreed a €2.5m (£2.08m) for the player, who has previously represented the club earlier in his career. A sale for a cut-price fee was in Wolves' best interest courtesy of Lemina having less than six months remaining on his contract.
