Less than two days after Delta Air Lines offered $30,000 to each passenger on board the flight that crashed and flipped in Toronto on Monday afternoon, the company is facing its first two lawsuits in the incident — and they likely won't be the last.

Delta is offering $30,000 to passengers of Flight 4819 after an accident left them hanging upside down and covered in jet fuel.

After Delta Flight 4819’s cabin rolled upside down and came to rest in a terrifying crash landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, a flight attendant stood on what had been the ceiling – one leg propped on an upturned baggage compartment – and addressed passengers who’d unbuckled themselves from inverted seats.

Delta Flight 4819, which was arriving in Toronto from Minneapolis, burst into flames upon landing and flipped upside down on the runway Monday.

All 80 people aboard the Delta flight from Minneapolis clambered out of the plane, with 18 suffering injuries.
