Several wildfires, including fires in Pompton Lakes and West Milford, continue to burn across New Jersey on Sunday morning.

The most recently reported blaze is the Jennings Creek wildfire near Greenwood Lake Turnpike and East Shore Road in West Milford. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service first reported it around 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

Called the Jennings Creek Wildfire, the fire originated east of Greenwood Lake in New York state and spread into a large swath of Sterling Forest north of Passaic County on the back of winds from the north.
