Baton Rouge police confirmed Southern University student Caleb Wilson died after being punched in the chest multiple times during a hazing ritual. One arrest has been made, and more suspects are expected.

Caleb Wilson was a junior at Southern University and A&M College and a member of the school's famed marching band.

Investigators say that Caleb Wilson, 20, a student at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., collapsed after being hit with boxing gloves as part of a pledging ritual for Omega Psi Phi.

A suspect has been arrested and charged with manslaughter and hazing in connection with the death of a Southern University and A&M College student, police said.

Caleb Wilson, a junior at Southern University, died on Feb. 27. Unsanctioned fraternity activities may have caused his death, the university said.

Southern University in Louisiana and Baton Rouge Police are investigating an alleged hazing incident that led to the death of a student last week.

Police say one arrest has been made and at least two more are expected in connection with the death of Caleb Wilson.
