SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Kirby Dach scored twice and the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Utah Hockey Club 5-3 on Tuesday night. Mike Matheson, Patrik Laine and Cole Caufield also scored for Montreal, which has won eight of its last 10.

Dach scored a goal on one shot and logged an assist in Thursday's 4-2 loss to Detroit. He added two hits and two PIM. Dach's wraparound backhander in the second period cut the Red Wings lead to 3-1. The tally and assist continued a productive stretch for the winger, who has eight goals and 10 points over the last 14 outings.
