The Local 5 Weather Team has declared Wednesday a Weather Impact Day through 6 p.m. due to the storm. Wind gusts range from 50-65 mph, with the strongest gusts found over western and southwestern Iowa. Snow totals will likely range between 2-9", but wind speeds will make it impossible to measure.

The band of snow that dropped up to 9 inches in some areas of Iowa is steadily moving east. Western Iowa should expect it to be gone by midday, with snow wrapping up in eastern Iowa later this afternoon. Wind gusts, some over 60 mph, will continue to blow the snow around, continuing blizzard conditions and making for dangerous travel conditions.
