The Philadelphia Flyers announced Monday that center Ryan Poehling has been added to the injured reserve with an upper-body injury. In a corresponding roster move, center Rodrigo Abols has been recalled from the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Up comes the 29-year-old Abols, who receives the first recall of his professional career. A seventh-round pick of the Canucks back in 2016, they let his signing rights lapse before he landed an entry-level contract with the Panthers in the 2019 offseason.

The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that forward Ryan Poehling has been placed on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury. In addition, forward Rodrigo Abols has been recalled from the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
The Flyers had an excellent response to a scary hit on Ryan Poehling as they took over to beat the Islanders, 5-3, Thursday night.
While the New York Islanders and the NHL thought Tsyplakov's hit was clean, the Philadelphia Flyers certainly disagreed.
