Griner is signing a free-agent contract with the Atlanta Dream when free agency opens Sunday, ESPN's Shams Charania and Alexa Phillipou first reported. The 34-year-old, who was the No. 1 overall pick by the Mercury in 2013, spent her entire 11-season career in Phoenix before testing free agency this year.
