Mikaela Shiffrin didn’t have the core strength to even rise out of a chair. Now, she’s planning to make her World Cup return at a slalom race in France next week.

Mikaela Shiffrin, who injured her abdomen in a fall at the end of November, said Thursday that she would be returning to the World Cup at the Courchevel slalom on January 30.
