FERRUM, Va. — Billy Wagner’s life is a bit different since he was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame last week. The former Ferrum College and major league great usually sleeps on Ferrum baseball coach Eric Owens’ couch when he visits Ferrum to work with the Panthers’ pitchers.

Houston Astros all-time saves leader Billy Wagner will have his jersey number retired. It's an honor that coincides with his induction into the Hall of Fame.

The Houston Astros announced Tuesday they will retire Wagner’s No. 13 beginning this season, with an official jersey-retirement ceremony set for Aug. 16 during the franchise’s Hall of Fame weekend (Wagner will enter the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday, July 27). Wagner’s No. 13 will be Houston’s 10th jersey retirement, which currently includes:
