CAMDEN, NJ (WPVI) -- The Camden waterfront is set to reach new heights. A 25-story office building will transform the skyline and become the largest office tower in South Jersey.

A 25-story office tower proposed for a major crossroads in downtown Camden would be the tallest building ever erected in the city. The $500 million Beacon Building would be constructed at the long-vacant northwest corner of Broadway and Martin Luther King Boulevard,

Camden's current tallest building is City Hall, whose central tower stands 18 stories above Market Street.

The proposed building would include 500,000 square feet of office space at the Broadway transit center in downtown Camden.

They include the 80-unit Aspen Apartments in Whitehall and two complexes on the east side of Allentown, a 24-apartment property at 501-26 S. Austin St. in Allentown, and a 28-unit complex at 855-868 N. Ulster St.
