A Macomb County brother and sister were arraigned in connection to the shooting death of their sister's boyfriend, officials say.

His parents, Timothy Gravel, 32, and Heather LeBlanc, 29, both of Westland, now are facing charges under Michigan's new safe storage law, which went into effect in February and allows prosecutors to hold parents criminally responsible if their unsecured guns wind up in the hands of minors who then either kill or injure themselves or someone else with the weapon.
