A three-judge federal appellate panel vacated an injunction that required Front Row Motorsports and Jordan's 23XI Racing be recognized as chartered teams as their antitrust case snakes through the legal system.

In a significant legal win for NASCAR, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on Thursday vacated a preliminary injunction issued last December by a trial court judge that allowed 23XI Racing, owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin, and Front Row Motorsports to race with the benefits of charters without having to release claims.

NASCAR has won a key appeal in its ongoing legal battle against 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports. The U.S. Court of Appeals overturned an injunction which forced NASCAR to allow the two teams race as charter entries while their antitrust fight works its way through the courts,
