Earlier this week, Augusta National announced it extended special invitations to two up-and-coming pro golfers, LIV Golf’s Joaquin Niemann and the PGA Tour’s Nicolai Hojgaard, to compete in the 2025 edition of golf’s first major.

Joaquin Niemann of LIV Golf is returning to the Masters, the second straight time Augusta National has given the Chilean a special invitation.

The chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, Fred Ridley, confirmed the decision in a statement.

LIV Golf's Joaquin Niemann was among two golfers who accepted a special invitation to compete in this year's Masters as part of the tournament's tradition of inviting leading international players who are not otherwise qualified for the event.
