At least 184 people are known to have died when the roof of a Dominican Republic nightclub collapsed Tuesday morning, and 155 transfers have been taken to local hospitals, officials said Wednesday.

Recently, work began to dredge the canal between Lake Missaukee and the lagoon at the boat launch inside the county’s park.

The town is seeking a $325,000 grant, which Palm Beach would have to match, from the Florida Inland Navigation District.
