The House Committee on Industry has amended the Control of Sale by Auction and Trade of Antiques Act 1931 to introduce a prison sentence for scrap shop owners who purchase stolen goods.

Kanpur: A major fire erupted at a scrap shop adjacent to the fish market in the Parade area on Monday morning. The blaze expanded to two scrap warehouses and subsequently reached the fish market.
