The guard would receive praise from such as his Thunder teammate Chet Holmgren and especially from his head coach Mark Daigneault as he spoke about the outing after the game.

After Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points in a 113-105 win over the Wolves, Anthony Edwards described the Thunder star as "unguardable" and called him "the MVP of the NBA."
