Marian Turski, a Holocaust survivor who became a journalist and historian in postwar Poland and was a co-founder of Warsaw's landmark Jewish history museum, has died.

On January 27, 1945, about 7,000 Jewish prisoners were freed from the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. That number includes Michael Bornstein. He was just 4 years old at the time. Now, he’s an 84-year-old father and grandfather living in New Jersey.
