Princess Kate and Prince William have shown unprecedented openness about their relationship following Catherine's cancer journey, according to sources close to the royal household. A source told People magazine that the Prince and Princess of Wales are "more open" now and "talk about their relationship together.

"The princess’s presence on the wards was so encouraging and sent the message 'I went through this just like you, and you can overcome it, too'."

The Princess of Wales revealed Tuesday that her cancer is in remission, following treatment earlier this year at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

A palace source tells People that the couple is "more open" now following Kate's battle with cancer, adding that the Prince and Princess of Wales "talk about their relationship together" and are showing a different side to their traditionally private partnership.
