Four overflow cold weather shelters are open across Denver and the city will keep them open through at least 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to Denver’s Department of Housing Stability.

Cold air originating from the Arctic Ocean will be dislodged and sent to the continental United States this weekend.

Traffic is expected to be impacted along major highways, with northern Colorado towns even more likely to experience bitter cold conditions.
