GQuuuuuuX hits TV later in 2025, Gkids is bringing the mecha anime's theatrical cut to North America in February.

Animation company GKids has acquired theatrical rights for the North American distribution of “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-.” The film will be released Feb. 28 and is directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (“Evangelion”).

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- is a compilation film containing the first four episodes of the upcoming TV anime, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. The trailers made it look to be something similar to G-Gundam (much like how Gundam 00 shares many elements with Gundam Wing ). However, that is far from what we get in this film.

GKIDS announced on Friday they have acquired the theatrical rights for the North American release of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, and set its official release date for next month. When is the Mobile Suit GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- release date?

This marks the first collaboration between GKIDS and Bandai Namco Filmworks. Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- is playing first in theaters on Friday. The anime is screening on 426 theaters, including 52 IMAX theaters.
