Shardul Thakur picked up a hat-trick for Mumbai against Meghalaya during a Ranji Trophy fixture at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Mumbai on Thursday.

Opening the bowling for Mumbai after the side chose to bowl first against the visitors, Shardul Thakur removed Meghalaya opener Nishanta Chakraborty for a four-ball duck in the first over before recording the hat-trick in the third over of the innings.

Thakur's performance was all the more significant considering his previous match, where he had scored a blistering century for Mumbai in their loss to Jammu & Kashmir.
