“It’s certainly possible,” agreed Zack Cooper, meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Mount Holly, which has issued a winter weather advisory from 12:01 to 10 a.m. Thursday for the entire region for up to an inch of snow and ice and 0.1 inches of freezing rain.

The snow arrives between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Thursday from southwest to northeast. It will only last a few hours in most areas (longer the farther north you live). The majority of the snow accumulation will be over by early afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory across Connecticut as a winter storm will bring snow and ice by Thursday morning.
