Under the revised sales and purchase agreement, TotalEnergies will supply 1.25 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China until 2034.

TTE signs a deal with BOTAS to deliver liquefied natural gas for ten years. This initiative is in line with TTE's strategy to expand liquefied natural gas sales.

In line with its strategy to grow its long-term LNG sales, TotalEnergies also announced this week the signing of a Heads of Agreement (HoA) with BOTAŞ in Turkey for the delivery of 1.1 million tonnes of LNG per year for 10 years starting from 2027. The company recorded 44.3 Mt LNG sales in 2023.

TotalEnergies extends sales agreement with CNOOC for 5 years, secures long-term LNG sales in China and Turkey, and invests in renewable energy.

Turkey took a further step towards becoming a regional gas re-exporter on Wednesday, after state energy company Botas signed a 10-year supply agreement with France's TotalEnergies, its fourth long-term import deal with non state-owned firms this year.

In a bid to diversify its resources, the state-owned pipelines and trading company will purchase 1.6 billion cubic metres (bcm) of liquified natural gas (LNG), starting in 2027.
