On stage at the World Economic Forum, Kentucky Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear spoke about economic issues in the state and abroad — including areas that have become heavily politicized, such as diversity policies in the workplace and environmental sustainability.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear’s popularity among his constituents was rivaled by only one other governor regularly cited as a 2028 Democratic presidential prospect.
Joined by Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, they talked about tariffs, the current political climate and why potential employers should invest in their states.
Beshear is the most popular Democratic governor in the U.S., according to the data. He trails only Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (75%) and former West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (67%) in overall popularity. Justice is now serving in the U.S. Senate. Beshear's disapproval rating was 27%. His numbers last July were similar (67%-28%).
