Alfa Anderson, the female lead of the disco band Chic, has died. Chic co-founder Nile Rogers shared the news that she passed earlier this week on Instagram and no cause of death has been revealed.

Headlining Sunday, May 11 is the legendary disco band Nile Rogers & Chic, whose timeless hits like “Good Times” and “Le Freak” defined their era and helped launch a new one, via early hip-hop samples.
