Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills saw their season fall short once again after losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game. In the second quarter, the Chiefs secured an 11-point lead before the Bills stormed back to take a one-point advantage in the third.

Bills 38, Chiefs 20 Allen's talents as a runner were on display as he rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown. He threw for 115 yards but three of his 15 completions went for touchdowns. Mahomes was 33-of-54 with two touchdowns and two picks.

Allen and Mahomes get a lot of the shine in this rivalry, but Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and Bills head coach Sean McDermott have a history, too. McDermott was an assistant under Reid with the Philadelphia Eagles for ten years before Reid fired him in 2010 as the team’s defensive coordinator.

Josh Allen is in a familiar position, and it's not one he hoped to be in coming into Sunday's AFC Championship. The Buffalo Bills quarterback dropped to 0-4 in his playoff career against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as his hopes of reaching the Super Bowl have once again come up just short with a 32-29 defeat at Arrowhead Stadium.
