PHOENIX — After Jayson Tatum went through his workout at Celtics shootaround Wednesday, unexpectedly, it looked like there was a real chance he could play against the Suns. He sprained his left ankle just two days prior and was doubtful on the injury report, but he did get upgraded to questionable.

The Celtics star had to leave Boston's game against the Kings late Monday night after suffering an ankle injury during the game. Tatum's left ankle landed on Kings center Domantas Sabonis during a three-point attempt, and he was clearly in pain on the court before needing to be helped to the locker room.
