Downtown’s iconic, 17-year-old “Cincinnati” sign is getting an upgrade as part of the convention center renovations.
The sign is mostly visible heading north on I-75 through the city. It was originally installed in 2006 during the convention center's last renovation.
The project will replace the static light display at the Duke Energy Convention Center with LEDs that can project video.
Demolition of the current sign is scheduled to begin in June, with the new sign expected to be operational by the end of the convention center's renovations ...
