Chelsea-linked forward Mathys Tel has requested to leave Bayern Munich before the end of the January transfer window, according to reports.

As first reported by Fabrizio Romano, the 19-year-old has decided to leave Bayern before the winter transfer window shuts on February 3. He adds the Blues enquired about the French forward but multiple clubs are interested in signing him.

Chelsea have received a boost over their hopes of signing Mathys Tel with the club to reopen talks with Bayern Munich, according to reports. The Blues launched an enquiry for Tel early in the January window but it was thought that the Frenchman was keen to remain in the Bundesliga.
