According to investigators, the fire began on the second floor and was contained to the apartment where it started.

Fire officials say they were called to the Stoney Brook Apartments on Mount Tabor Road around 7:45 Tuesday morning.

The Lexington Fire Department reports that seven people were displaced after a fire broke out at an apartment complex Tuesday morning.

While detectives said the shooting was unintentional, they said they are still investigating who fired the shot and will hold them criminally accountable.
