Three NFL teams poached coaches from Sean Payton's staff this offseason. The Denver Broncos lost assistant special teams coach Chris Banjo to the New York Jets, passing game coordinator John Morton to the Detroit Lions and tight ends coach Declan Doyle to the Chicago Bears.

Some have advocated for the Broncos to sign one of the top two remaining free-agent running backs — J.K. Dobbins and Nick Chubb — just to have a veteran fail-safe to pair with another player selected in the draft.
