Voting now open through Feb. 14 for new Illinois state flag
Illinoisans can now start choosing which new state flag they prefer, and it could be the current flag, one of two other previous state flags, or one of 10 finalists. The current Illinois flag has been around since 1970.
You can now vote for a new Illinois state flag. Here are the 13 designs, and how to vote
The flags up for a vote -- 13 in total -- include the 10 new finalists, along with the current version of the Illinois flag. It also includes Illinois' 1918 centennial flag, or 1968 sesquicentennial flag, officials said.
