Thomas returned to Connecticut after spending all 11 seasons with the franchise before being traded to the Mercury in the offseason. She finished with 14 points and 11 assists, her fifth double-double of the season.

Although the Phoenix Mercury celebrated Alyssa Thomas's return to Connecticut, it was filled with emotion and appreciation for her former club. When Thomas was traded to the Mercury in January, it signaled a new chapter in her career. However, during her introductory press conference, media day, and training camp, her sentiment remained the same.

Thomas finished just two rebounds shy of a triple-double in her first game back in Uncasville, facing the Sun.
