The Angels opened Major League Baseball spring training on Saturday in the Cactus League. Los Angeles defeated Seattle, 11-10, at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. Former Vol Christian Moore made his MLB spring training debut with the Angels.

Second baseman Christian Moore, who the Los Angeles Angels took in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft, has started getting reps at third base in spring training.

He’s a super athlete, and I’m not just talking about baseball,” Manager Ron Washington says of the 22-year-old, who will get time at second and third base this spring.

Ahead of spring training, ESPN released top 10 prospects for each MLB team. Moore is ranked as the No. 2 prospect for the Angels. He is behind pitcher Caden Dana. Moore was selected by the Angels in the first-round (No. 8 overall).
