Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the State Park Preservation Act into law Thursday; it will take effect starting in July of 2025.

Both bills enact penalties for those to create or distribute sexually explicit images of a person without their consent — including AI-generated ones.

HB 593, known as the "Pam Rock Act," recognizes the 61-year-old woman who was mauled to death by five dogs while delivering mail in Putnam County in August 2022.

DeSantis signed legislation that will prevent law enforcement from conducting random vessel safety inspections without probable cause.

Starting in July, laws on the water will be changing. Law enforcement will no longer be able to pull a boater over without probable cause or a suspected violation.
