A DoorDash driver and a man on his way to work were arrested near Fresno early Friday after allegedly racing each other down Highway 41 at 120 mph, the California Highway Patrol said. The driver told police he thought the 15-year-old and another man were armed when he fatally shot the teenager in his car.

A 15-year-old was shot and killed at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on West 8th Street in Uptown, according to a report from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
