Shohei Ohtani and the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers will be featured on four of ESPN’s first 10 “Sunday Night Baseball” broadcasts along with a March 27 appearance on the sport’s main opening day.

The Red Sox will host the St. Louis Cardinals on April 6 at 7 p.m. in their first Sunday home game of the 2025 season. It’s the second game in ESPN’s slate of Sunday Night Baseball, with the Atlanta Braves taking on the San Diego Padres on March 30 on opening weekend.

Once again, the Atlanta Braves will get a couple slots in prime time to start the 2025 season with the potential for more games later in the year

The Houston Astros will make an early-season appearance on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, the network announced Wednesday in unveiling its initial matchups for 2025. ESPN will broadcast Houston’s April 20 game against the San Diego Padres at newly renamed Daikin Park.

The Little League Classic game between the Seattle Mariners and New York Mets will be the lone prime time representation for the former on ESPN this upcoming season.

The Rangers will play at the San Diego Padres on July 6 as part of an ESPN Sunday Night Baseball Fourth of July weekend doubleheader, the network announced Wednesday. Texas and San Diego are scheduled to play at 8:10 p.m.; the first leg of that day’s doubleheader is still to be determined.

The Yankees will face their crosstown rivals, the New York Mets, in their first Sunday Night Baseball appearance on May 18. It will be the finale of a three-game series which will bring former Yankees’ right fielder Juan Soto back to the Bronx for the first time since he spurned them for the Mets. It is part of ESPN’s “Rivalry Week.”

ESPN released its initial Sunday Night Baseball schedule for 2025 (through mid-July, plus the August 18 Little League Classic), and the Mets are featured three times thus far: May 18th vs the Yankees at Yankee Stadium,
