Heavy equipment is tearing through massive debris piles in Kerr County as the search for the missing continues.

Nearly a week after floodwaters swept away more than a hundred lives, Texas officials are facing heated questions over how much was – or was not – done in the early morning hours of Friday as a wall of water raced down the Guadalupe River.

At a press briefing on Wednesday, Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha was asked about a code red.

Scammers are known to execute a variety of deceitful schemes, preying on individuals in affected areas,” stated the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas.
