My Experiences with the RSF Opel 2 (Kind of long)
Feb 16, 2009 · My biggest problem with the RSF Opel 3 in its most common setup is that when you open the door ash inevitably drops out (like all stoves), but then some of the ash gets sucked up into the air intake vent under it. This ash gets sucked up into the basic fan.... which is starting to struggle to work lately, and the ash eventually blows out the top.

Quadra-Fire Stoves-similar but different models... - Hearth.com …
Feb 16, 2009 · Have a question regarding Quadra-Fire stoves and looking for a little advice. I am definitely going with a Quadra-Fire stove for a few reasons. I've been comparing stoves, looking into my choices. Looking to heat 1300-1500 square feet, long as it stays 45-50 degree's or higher I'm all set. Well insulated building, heats pretty well really.

Anyone with an RSF Pearl? Have you found a better blower fan?
Feb 24, 2023 · We had an RSF Pearl installed in 2018 and use it 24/7 to heat the main level of our high altitude CO home in the winter. LOVE this ZC fireplace, HATE the blower. What came with the fireplace is a "tangential fan blower" (long squirrel cage with a shaded pole AC motor).

Your Stove's Biggest Flaw(s)... and Best Features
Feb 19, 2009 · I think current RSF stoves do too. I had an old parlour stove once with a thermostatic control. It wasn't well balanced and would start to hunt like krazy. I stuck a bent nail in it to settle it down. What I didn't like about the RSF was the uncontrolled zipper air but I took care of that. I didn't care for the blower design either.
