It seems to me that the known problem of triple layer discs is a your-mileage-may-vary kind of an issue. I have had ZERO issues playing any disk I throw at my One X (connected to Samsung 4K LED), triple layer or otherwise.

Nov 12, 2017 · By default, your Xbox One X is most likely automatically set to 4K when you plug it into a 4K TV. This means that your TV will always be seeing a 3840x2160 (AKA 4K) resolution output from your console. This also means that when playing non-enhanced games, the Xbox will be using its own internal hardware to upscale the image to 4K.

Jun 12, 2017 · Microsoft themselves said the goal for Scorpio was to run games at the same framerate and quality as a regular Xbox One, but 4K. From what I've seen, they have exceeded that goal, since the extra RAM and bandwidth means developers can also add much better (PC Ultra quality) textures and filtering without the Xbox One X breaking a sweat.

May 25, 2022 · They do use the same app, but that doesn't necessarily mean the same performance. There was a time when the One X handled black levels better than the Series X, although that has been resolved through software updates since it was discovered. Xbox is pretty mediocre if you're seriously interested in playing 4K discs.

Nov 14, 2018 · Here are the facts. Xbox one X supports 1440P and 120Hz or 4K and 60Hz. Those are the two top notch settings. Assuming you have a TV that can work with those settings. I have the Samsung Q6 and it supports both. I play Battlefield V on 1440P and 120Hz. Its much more responsive then 4K at 60Hz.... Like night and day difference.

Dec 9, 2020 · It is true the resolution is much improved on the Xbox One X and Xbox Series versions but I didn't like the 4:3 format of some of the games like Prince of Persia Sands of Time when compared to the PC version where I played it full screen and in higher resolution as well. The black borders on each side kind of bothered me in those games.

Nov 16, 2017 · So with modern AAA games the Xbox One X (which uses roughly an RX 580 which is around the GTX 1060 6GB) plays games at 4k (sometimes with resolution scaling) with medium and the FPS depends on the bottleneck as the Xbox One X still has the same insanely shit CPU, but often expect 30 in large scale games and 60 in racing and certain shooters.
