Everything I’m reading refers to a downloads folder but I can’t find it anywhere. I do not have a folder in documents > ea > the sims 2 > Downloads like I’ve seen. I tried downloading Aspyr’s The Sims 2 extras package installer and that isn’t work either.

On my old laptop, most Sims walking past my houses were Sims from other families that I made, and the pre generated townies only walked past occasionally. Now I rarely see my own Sims at all, only townies walking past my house, whichever of my ~50 households I'm playing.

This has now been fixed and the cover art says The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, though the title name remains The Sims 2. The size of the download may say something like 10GB.

On MacOS, you can find Aspyr's port of The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Super Collection, here. Please note that half of the 18 available packs for the game were never ported to Mac. It is not possible to play the rest of the packs on MacOS.
