Selection Process - Pro Football Hall of Fame
A bylaws change to the selection process was approved by the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors in early 2024 by which a Contributor – defined as an individual who has “made outstanding contributions to professional football in capacities other than playing or coaching” – will be considered in a category distinct from the Coaches, who will be in their own category.
Zach Thomas - Pro Football Hall of Fame
Zach Thomas, a 5’11”, 235-pound linebacker out of Texas Tech, was drafted in the fifth round (154th overall) in the 1996 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. Thomas spent the majority of his 13-year career in Miami (1996-2007) before capping it with a final season in Dallas (2008).
